Opening and Closing Procedures
Lifeguard Opening Procedures:
1. Unlock Facility
2. Inspect grounds for safety hazards and check bathrooms
3. Check Rescue bag and AED battery and pads
4. Test Chemicals
5. Vacuum the Pool
6. Skim surface of the pool
7. Scrub scum line from Pool tiles
8. Spray off pool deck
9. Set up front desk/ login to tablet
10. Move backboard, AED and other necessary equipment out
Closing Procedures:
1. Empty trash bins and put in bins
- a. Take bins to street on Tuesday nights
- b. Bring bins back in Wednesday nights
2. Clean skimmer baskets
3. Clean trash off pool deck
4. Clean outside bathrooms
5. Clean inside bathroom
6. Move back board and other equipment to bathroom
7. Put AED away
8. Clean up front desk
9. Final chemical checks
10. Lock up facility
